Conhecidos os candidatos aos Óscares
Os nomeados para a 92.ª edição dos Óscares foram revelados esta segunda-feira pelas 13h18 (hora de Lisboa), numa transmissão global em directo da sede da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas, em Los Angeles.
O filme “Joker” lidera as nomeações, com 11 categorias a concurso, entre as quais: melhor filme, melhor realizador, melhor actor principal para Joaquin Phoenix, melhor argumento adaptado ou melhor fotografia.
“O Irlandês”, “Era Uma Vez… Em Hollywood” e 1917 têm dez nomeações. Era Uma Vez… Em Hollywood, de Quentin Tarantino, está nomeado para melhor realizador e melhor argumento original, enquanto Leonardo DiCaprio e Brad Pitt também estão nomeados para actor e actor secundário.
O Irlandês, uma grande aposta da Netflix, realizado por Martin Scorsese, tem, além do realizador, Joe Pesci nomeado para melhor actor secundário.
Portugal falha nomeação
Pela primeira vez em 92 anos, Portugal podia ter tido um filme nomeado pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas. “Tio Tomás: A Contabilidade dos Dias”, de Regina Pessoa, que tinha chegado à “short-list” de dez candidatos, mas a nomeação acabou por não chegar.
Regina Pessoa, membro da Academia desde 2018, já esteve nesta “short-list” em 2006 com “História Trágica com Final Feliz”, mas não chegou aos cinco nomeados. A curta “Tio Tomás: A Contabilidade dos Dias” foi premiada no Festival Internacional de Animação de Annecy, com o Prémio Especial do Júri e o Prémio para a Melhor Música Original.
A cerimónia dos Óscares está marcada para 9 de fevereiro, mais cedo do que é habitual e, tal como no ano passado, não haverá um anfitrião.
